Where Palau Sant Jordi of Barcelona
When November 20 & 21, 2009

Depeche Mode announces their concert appearance in Barcelona! The band will perform at the Palau Sant Jordi on November 20 & 21, 2009.

During the UK post-punk backlash at the turn of the 80s, when bands dispensed with guitars and drums in favour of synthesizers and drum machines, Depeche Mode formed, taking their name from the title of a French style magazine. More than 20 years later, they are recognized as the most successful "electro-synth" longest-lived band ever influencing many popular recording artists, in part due to their recording techniques and innovative use of sampling.
Depeche Mode had forty-five songs in the UK Singles Chart and #1 albums in UK, US and throughout Europe. According to EMI, Depeche Mode have sold over 75 million albums worldwide, as part of total worldwide record sales (including singles) in excess of 100 million.

In the last year’s press-conference Depeche Mode came out with their new logo and announced their European Tour of the Universe 2009. This tour is their first since Playing the Angel, which broke attendance records in Europe, registering 1.8 million tickets sold in 87 performances. Depeche Mode said that their new album "Sounds of the Universe" is the pinnacle of their musical composition and creative level. The bands current hit single, on the Sounds of the Universe album, titled "Wrong" is a MUST listen song on the album.

Depeche Mode will play to over 1.3 million fans in 28 cities in 22 countries before ending in Portugal at the Super Rock Festival on the European tour. One of the world’s biggest and best live acts, Tour of the Universe 2009 is a must see spectacle, which will undoubtedly be the musical highlight of this year.

The Fray will play a much anticipated upcoming live show at the infamous Razzmatazz this October.  The Denver based foursome, who formed in 2002, quickly rose to stardom with their 2005 album and hit song “How to Save a Life.”  Finding continued success with their second self titled album, featuring “You Found Me,” Isaac Slades’ passion filled vocals and piano, Joe King and Dave Welsh’s guitar skills and Ben Wysocki’s drums are even more enrapturing.  The album is a perfect blend of intimacy and uplifting vigor and the band’s talent is one that is even more appreciated first hand.  The depth and relatability of The Fray’s lyrics have made their songs perfect anthems for shows such as Grey’s Anatomy.  Don’t miss your chance to see The Fray's signature piano-driven tunes in full force on October 7th!

England’s alternative rock band, Muse, brings their “The Resistance Tour” to Barcelona, which has been selling out across Europe!  The concert, which has been hailed as worthy of all the acclaim, is reviewed as so spot-on that you can't help but to be mesmerized.  The stage setup and lighting is said to just completely send the whole thing over the top.  Muse has been compared to Radiohead, but they’re not nervous about living up to those shoes… with Muse’s completely unpredictable, outgoing, energetic and enigmatic approach they are 100% making a name for themselves!

Mando Diao is the story of a garage band out of Sweden who is inspired by the 1960’s, at times reminds you of the Strokes, but somehow always has a fresh, new sound all of its own.  Their album that spurred them to success, “Hurricane Bar”, had a song featured in the FIFA soccer video game and was stuck in the heads of all those who played it!  Their new album, “Give Me Fire,” does not need a video game for millions of people to hear it.  Throughout Europe, it’s selling its way to people’s ipods all on its own, especially in the UK.  Their live shows have a kind of old-school boisterousness they also show in their songs, weaved with a more contemporary punk.  Audiences will NOT leave disappointed!

Rock horror metal superstar Marilyn Manson performs in Barcelona in December at the Palau Sant Jordi to present their seventh studio album, “The High End of Low.” Produced by Manson, Vrenna, and Twiggy, “The High End of Low” was recorded in Manson’s Hollywood Hills studio and also features the track, “I Want to Kill You Like They Do In The Movies.”

Since emerging from South Florida in the early 1990s, Marilyn Manson has continued to upend the mainstream with each new release. The tumultuous relationship Manson has cultivated with the public worldwide has resulted in multi-million records sales, sold-out tours, protests, legal battles, hate, adoration, award-winning distilled spirits (Mansinthe) and most importantly, a long list of some of the most enduring and genre-defying music in the rock era (“Lunchbox,” “Sweet Dreams,” “The Beautiful People,” “Tourniquet,” “The Dope Show,” “This Is The New Shit,” “Mobscene,” “Heart-Shaped Glasses,” and more.) The new era of Marilyn Manson and “The High End of Low” begins now.

Where Pavello Olimpic de Badalona - Badalona

Franz Ferdinand, one of the leading bands of the British pop music scene, is on tour and stopping in Spain to promote their latest and third album, “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.”  Only five years have passed since the release of their first album that outrageously stormed the music scene and surprised the audience.  All of their efforts since then have succeeded in placing the band among the best sellers and putting them on top of the international lists.

“Tonight: Franz Ferdinand” sees them taking a step back from the Post-Punk revival sounds that gave them their breakthrough. With “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand,” the band is seen to incorporate more disparate musical influences such as Jamaican Dub and elements of Electronica.  What remains of the old Franz Ferdinand is their knack for locating a danceable rhythm and their gentle, deadpan humor.  Don’t miss their innovative sound in concert in Badalona!
